Introduction to Meditation: A Beginner’s Foundation & Practice with Laura Brand & Kara Habben

 You know meditation could help you feel calmer, more present, or like life flows a little smoother—but you don’t know how to make it work for you. You’ve tried here and there, but your mind won’t stop racing, and sitting in silence feels impossible. You want to feel more patient, less irritable, and just better—but between work, family, and everything else on your plate, meditation always seems like one more thing you "should" do.

That’s where this class comes in.

This beginner-friendly meditation workshop will introduce you to simple, practical meditation techniques that fit seamlessly into your busy life—so you can finally experience more ease, balance, and joy.

  • The science behind meditation & how it rewires your brain for clarity and calm

Yoga for Recovery Series

Join me in this four session recovery series designed to soothe your nervous system and promote inner peace. Each session will feature a blend of practices, including pranayama (breathwork), a gentle yoga flow to relax both body and mind, restorative and yin poses, along with Yoga Nidra and guided meditations.

You’re welcome to purchase all four sessions or just one! Each session offers a unique experience and does not build on the previous ones; see detailed description below.  This series is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis. Please have your mat, blocks, strap, bolster (or pillows), eye bag/mask (if you have one), and a blanket ready to begin your class or series.

When you purchase either one class, multiple or the series it will be sent via e mail within 24 hours of your purchase. At this time, the recording/s will be good for 30 days or you can choose to download them.  Each class is $28 or the entire series is $80.

  • Session #1: 4:8 ratio breathwork, SLOW Yoga flow, (PMR) Progressive Muscle Relaxation
  • Session #2: 4:2:6 ratio breathwork, Restorative Yoga poses, Yoga Nidra 
  • Session #3: 4:2:6 ratio breathwork, YIN Yoga poses, Savasana
  • Session #4: Intuitive Yoga Movement, Legs Up the Wall, Guided Chakra/Aura Mediation

Sliding scale pricing offers a service or product with a range of price points to make the service or product more accessible to people with varying levels of income. At Laurel Leaf Yoga we believe that Yoga, guided physical movement, and retreats should be accessible to as many people as possible while still allowing for a quality livelihood for the facilitators/creators of these experiences. When deciding what to pay please keep both your income and the income of the facilitators in mind.
